26 Then God said, “Let us make human beings[a] in our image, to be like us. Genesis 1:26
Man was created in a community with God first:
- The Son
- The Father
- The Holy Spirit
18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.” Genesis 2:18
27 So God created human beings[a] in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. 28 Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.” Genesis 1:27-28
Man was created to be in a community with others.
- Family
- Relatives
- Like-minded people
- Friends
Just as John Ortberg said in his book, “everybody is normal till you know them”.
To love and be loved is the fiercest longing of the soul.
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
2 Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2
What is the Law of God? LOVE GOD. LOVE OTHERS
I’m not an accident. We are all wonderfully made.
