What If You Dare?

These are my notes from B1G Fridays What If: You Dare
You need to know Christ. You need to step out of the boat.

Meanwhile, the disciples were in trouble far away from land, for a strong wind had risen, and they were fighting heavy waves. 25 About three o’clock in the morning[a] Jesus came toward them, walking on the water. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the water, they were terrified. In their fear, they cried out, “It’s a ghost!” Matthew 14:24-26

The disciples are in their boat but then they were afraid of the wind and waves doesn’t mean that you’re in your boat, means you’re safe.

How to respond to that fear?

REASSURANCE FROM JESUS

But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here![a]” Matthew 14:27

Peter challenges Jesus’ statement and wanted to make sure if he is talking to the right person. And Jesus said, “Yes, Come!”

Obeying His calling will not guarantee you of being spared of adversity. The moment you take off your eyes on Jesus, it is also the moment you begin to sink. (Focus your eyes on Jesus) If you fail, Jesus will be there to help you if you call Him Once you step out of your boat, the biggest blessing will be for you to be with Jesus. Don’t live a life with regrets.
